At the pool, it’s clear that Makoto and Kotonoha are dating, however it seems as if Makoto has developed feelings for Sekai, hinting her that he wants to be with her instead. Rubel and Rafaela confront Clare and Jean, and Rubel gives Clare a mission to go to the northern lands along with twenty-three other Claymores to confront a horde of Awakened Beings and the Abyssal One Isley. He also mentions that Raki has gone there, giving Clare even more incentive to go. Once there, Clare is reunited with Miria, Helen, and Deneve. The twenty-four gathered Claymores divide into five teams and are soon confronted by three Awakened Beings. They literally strike first and attack them in the town of Pieta. Louise’s eldest sister Eléonore drags her, Saito, and Siesta back to the Vallière mansion, where Louise is announced to be engaged to a duke. Louise tries to prove to her family that she isn’t the “Zero” anymore but cannot reveal that she is a user of Void. Meanwhile, Louise looks for Saito, goes into his room, and kisses Siesta, whom she has mistaken for Saito. Saito goes to talk to her at night but instead finds Eléonore who beats him. The next day, when Louise’s father forbids her from going into war she gets upset and flees to a children’s boat. Louise’s gentle and kind sister, Cattleya, convinces Saito to stay by Louise’s side. Saito finds her and confesses his true feelings to Louise then makes out with her, fights his way out of the Vallière residence, and heads back to school with Louise. It is Konata’s birthday and she is happy to be a legal adult, because she can play adult-only games legally now. Later, Konata’s family decides to have a surprise party for her, but their plans end up failing, due to Konata’s co-workers also celebrating her birthday. Kagami forgets to buy groceries for dinner which angers her older sister, Matsuri. Kagami walks off in a huff to go to the store and Tsukasa comes to her aid with a shopping list. Upon returning home, they find their older sisters worried about them and Kagami cheers up when her sister shows appreciation for gathering the ingredients. Lelouch uses Geass on Cornelia and discovers she does not know who killed his mother. C.C. senses that Nunnally has been taken to Kamine Island and Lelouch abandons the Black Knights to rescue her. There, C.C. stays behind to stall Jeremiah while Lelouch is confronted by Suzaku. While Kallen watches on, Suzaku shoots Lelouch’s mask revealing his identity to the two of them. Lelouch confronts Cornelia and has the Geass influenced Andreas Darlton incapacitate Cornelia’s Knightmare. Meanwhile, Nunnally is visited by V.V. who intends to take her away. Clare manages to bring Jean back from an awakened state, gaining her loyalty, and returns to help Galatea. Together, the battle shifts and Dauf is defeated, though Riful saves his life. Clare finally lands a hit on Riful and so she explains about the Northern Kingdom and the name of its ruler, Isley.
