On the day of the school’s cultural festival, the members of the SOS Brigade are involved in different activities. Yuki attempts fortune telling, and Itsuki stars in a tragicomedy. Mikuru, along with Tsuruya, and their class open a yakisoba café as well. Kyon, attempting to enjoy a normal day, later goes to the auditorium, where bands are playing for the audience, and falls asleep. When he awakens, he sees Haruhi and Yuki walking on stage wearing a bunny girl costume and witch cloak and hat respectively, filling in for a female rock band on vocals and guitar. Their performance creates quite an uproar in the audience. It is revealed why the two had to fill in for the two musicians who were unable to perform for their show. Kyon, after understanding that Haruhi is not used to being appreciated by others, is then dragged into the idea that Haruhi wants to start up her own rock band. Episode III-II Gambit

Rosa recounts how she met the human Beatrice confined in a hidden mansion, Kuwadorian, on the island twenty years ago and helped her escape, only to see her accidentally fall off a cliff to her death. Beatrice confirms to Battler that she truly died as a human, and that there are currently no more than 18 people on the island, forcing Battler to accept his loved ones as possible culprits. Genji, Shannon, and Kanon are later summoned to Kinzo’s study, where they see Beatrice offer him as the first sacrifice and kill him. Kanon is pit against the seven Sisters of Purgatory, defeating Lucifer in a duel, though he and Shannon are overwhelmed as they try to fend them all off at once, prompting Genji to euthanize Shannon and Kanon before he is put to rest by Ronove. The Sisters search the mansion for more sacrifices, killing Gohda in the process. They find Kumasawa as well, who claims to have been waiting for Beatrice. Beatrice reveals Kumasawa to be her predecessor and teacher, the former Beatrice.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya – Episode 25

“The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina Episode 00”

The SOS Brigade previews their movie of questionable quality. In the movie, Mikuru Asahina stars as a time-travelling waitress from the future who must engage in fights with Yuki Nagato, who is playing as an alien-magician. Mikuru has sworn to protect a young man, played by Itsuki Koizumi, but a love-triangle ensues with both Mikuru and Yuki striving for Itsuki’s affections. Kyon is the narrator of the movie, while Haruhi Suzumiya is the director. The production of this movie can be found in the episodes, “The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya”. Episode III-I Castling

Several years in the past, a young, human Beatrice meets the Golden Witch “Beatrice” preceding her and becomes her apprentice in magic. Back in 1986, Eva has recurring visions of her younger self claiming to have magic that will allow her to become the family head, which continue to haunt her during the family conference. Maria receives a letter from Beatrice, who is now powerful enough to summon her butler Ronove, and reads it to the guests during dinner. While discussing the contents and writer of the letter amongst themselves, the siblings talk about a rumor about Kinzo’s mistress, a woman named Beatrice, who lived in the forest on the island thirty years ago, prompting Battler to theorize that the human Beatrice is still on the island. However, Rosa confesses to her siblings that she had killed Beatrice.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya – Episode 24

“The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya Part Five”
“Suzumiya Haruhi no Tameiki V” (涼宮ハルヒの溜息V)

Deciding Yuki needs a familiar for her role, Haruhi picks up a stray cat and names it Shamisen. However, when Haruhi leaves that day, Shamisen starts talking as a result of Haruhi’s powers. The other club members meet up, where Itsuki suggests a reminder to Haruhi that her movie is a work of fiction, before reality incurs further damage. Later on, both Mikuru and Yuki share their independent views about Haruhi. As Haruhi’s powers continue through filming, Itsuki calls out Kyon to hold back Haruhi’s powers. Kyon accomplishes this by convincing Haruhi to add a disclaimer over the credits saying it is a work of fiction. After the filming, Kyon and Haruhi remain at the club room to do the editing. Kyon falls asleep while editing the movie, but wakes up the next day to find the movie had somehow completed itself while he was sleeping. The episode ends with a flashback to May, where Kyon tells Haruhi the truth about the other club members, but she does not believe him. Umineko no Naku Koro ni – Episode 11

Episode II-VI Back Rank Mate

Empowered by Natsuhi’s mirror, Shannon attempts to defend herself and George, but they are both killed by Beatrice. The remaining survivors find Nanjo’s and Kumasawa’s bodies, followed by the bodies of George, Shannon, and Gohda. Rosa begins to suspect Battler after they find another letter, but Battler and Maria blame Beatrice. Rosa and Maria go to take one of the gold bars from the chapel, leaving Genji to bring Battler before Beatrice herself. In exchange for an explanation of how Beatrice used her magic to commit the crimes, Battler is enslaved and humiliated by the witch before being killed by her goat butlers along with Kinzo. Rosa and Maria are also ambushed by the goat butlers and killed as they try to escape. In Purgatory, Beatrice tortures Rosa into accepting her as a witch, by making her eat certain body parts of Krauss, Eva, Rudolf, and Maria in the afterlife. Battler stops her, having regained his will to fight her after seeing Rosa’s will to continue denying witches and Beatrice. Afterward, Beatrice reveals to Bernkastel that she is aware of her meddling before the two witches are joined by another witch, Lambdadelta, who seeks to participate in Beatrice’s next game against Bernkastel.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya – Episode 19

The loop continues for the 15,532nd time, but as Haruhi leaves on August 30, Kyon beckons the SOS Brigade to finish their summer homework together, thus breaking the endless loop of summer. Irritated, Haruhi berates him, but decides to come anyway even though she has already finished her homework. Kyon wakes up on September 1 to embrace a new school term.
