As the group finds the place, the search team arrives and starts a pursuit. Since Rinon’s teleport function becomes disabled, Remon takes the others to the spot using a van specially prepared with Emika’s help; with Tetsurō, Mio, and Kanna becoming bio-signature decoys for the pursuing rescue craft. Old Osmond is called in to see if the dragon can be stopped, and he states that they may have a chance if all the nations band together, to which Henrietta, Tabitha, and Julio agree to. Saito awakens and, despite being depressed about losing Derflinger, resolves to keep fighting, causing Louise to fear for his safety. Saito remembers the fighter jet in Luctiana’s oasis, but since it is run down, he and Louise figure if by using her World Door spell they can travel to Saito’s world (Japan) and acquire a new one for the upcoming battle. Using Saito’s Lifdrasir powers, Louise opens a door to Japan, but when Saito steps through, Louise openly states she loves him for the first time and lets go of his hand till the ‘door’ closes, forcing him to stay in the safety of his own world. Louise’s friends watching this happen to cry about her hard decision. Everyone begins to mobilize, and Osmond informs Louise and Tiffa that while the power of the Void can defeat the Ancient Dragon, it consuming a Void user will empower it, thus the two girls will be the dragon’s next target. Osmond mentions that the battle will be held at the Magic Academy since it has been evacuated, but upon arriving find out no one has left. All of Louise’s friends, including Siesta, Luctiana, Arie, and even the Gensou Siblings assure her they will fight together to save their world. Back in Japan, Saito tries to return to Hakelginia by visiting the spot from where he was summoned, but to no avail. The Ancient Dragon awakens, assuming a new form with wings and takes flight, obliterating the fleet that was monitoring it, and makes its way towards the Magic Academy, Tiffania, and Louise.
“Senpai’s and ours” “Senpai to Bokura no.” (先輩と僕らの。)

He meets Mio on the way, where they shared the cake she was to give Kanna. There Mio asks and hears his reason why he invited Ichika to do the film with them. Angry at himself, Tetsurō kicks a nearby wooden railing and injures himself. The next day Tetsurō invites Kanna to their old playground as kindergarten kids and confesses to her, but she rejects him; and as she runs off to Kaito’s place to confess (only to be rejected by Kaito anyway), Tetsurō falls on his knees, where Mio sneaks from behind and hugs him, saying it’s alright to cry. “The Awakening of Calamity” “Saiyaku no Mezame” (災厄の目覚め)
Louise and Saito are dancing in the grand ballroom after Tabitha’s coronation, with Louise lost in the thought of Saito’s life-risking Lifdrasir power. The next day, Siesta walks into Louise and Saito’s room to see Louise sitting on the edge of the bed. Agnès arrives and inform Louise that she, Saito, and Tiffania are called on by Henrietta. The Queen tells them that the Pope has requested their urgent help, and calls upon Sylphid to escort them there. Upon reaching Romalia they see Aquileia being engulfed in flames and are attacked by a swarm of dragons. Julio rescues them from a fire blast launched by an enormous dragon and escorts them to Romalia. The Pope requests the trio’s help to stop the legendary “Ancient Dragon” and asks Saito to use his new-found abilities, to which Louise objects. When they arrive at the location where they will confront the dragon, Louise informs Saito of the consequences of using Lifdrasir’s power, but he agrees to use them to protect Romalia and Louise. The accompanying army trap the Ancient dragon in a valley, and the Pope uses his Void magic on the dragon and its army; it usually functions as a Recovery spell, but has a damaging effect against entities of evil. Tiffa uses her Memory spell to stop the dragon’s army. Saito uses his powers to strengthen His Eminence, but the Ancient dragon possesses Julio’s dragon, causing it to move towards the dragon’s mouth as it begins blasting them with fire. Derflinger demands Saito, draws him to absorb the attack, but the Ancient dragon’s power proves too much and Derflinger shatters, propelling Saito off the back of the possessed dragon only to be caught by Louise and Tiffania. Knowing he can no longer fend off the dragon with his magic, Vittorio shoves Julio off the back of his dragon, rescuing him at the cost of being eaten by the Ancient Dragon.
“Senpai” “Senpai” (せんぱい)
After the incident involving the rescue drone Ichika reveals her true identity to Kaito and the gang, and reveals her true intentions on Earth, namely “looking for that place in her memory.” Kaito, however, isn’t surprised because he already knows the fact. However, with the rather rough “rescue attempt” by the Federation rescue drone, she believes that another will come to investigate, and fears that her days on Earth are numbered; thus shunning Kaito for a while—and sealing her feelings for him. This irritated Kanna, telling Ichika that “looking for that place” is just an excuse to avoid him. Kanna confessed that she has feelings for Kaito, and runs away after confronting Ichika—only to be consoled later by Tetsurō, hurting Mio in the process. Kaito, with a bit of encouragement from Remon, did confess to Ichika later—and, when Kaito said it’s his first kiss, she revealed that she has kissed Kaito four times already, as she gave him the fifth one.
