“The Atonement of Flames” “Honō no Shokuzai” (炎の贖罪)

Mr. Colbert and Saito devise a plan to enter into the building to save the hostages. Benubiro explains to Agnès how his captain ruthlessly burnt D’Angleterre to ashes. The team uses their combined magic to enter the building. During the attack, Benubiro recognizes Colbert who is in fact his captain, Snake of the Flame. The two begin a heated battle. Agnès becomes furious and charges towards Colbert. Benubiro fires a lethal fireball towards Agnès to stop her from interrupting them, and Colbert pushes her away from the blast and is struck in the crossfire. Agnès takes revenge for her town upon Benubiro and kills him. Agnès recognizes that Colbert was also the person who saved her. Mr. Colbert in his last moments explains what had occurred on that fateful night. He had been given orders to destroy D’Angleterre as it had been reported to be struck with a deadly plague. After discovering there was no plague, he found a girl (Agnès) the only survivor and he carries her to safety. Kirche, Louise, and Saito arrive in time. Agnès is still infuriated and she holds up her sword to strike a final blow to Colbert, but he dies before she can do so. Louise and Saito are saddened by the death of their teacher as they read a letter written by him saying how much Colbert wanted to see Saito’s world (Earth), whereas Agnès is still undecided about ever forgiving him.

At night, Eléonore puts Louise in jail to prevent her from going into war; even Saito and Colbert agree and doesn’t wish to see more people get hurt. Sheffield sends hired mercenaries to make a surprise attack on the Magic Academy to take all of the female members of royal families’ hostage. Tabitha noticed it and warns people. The Musketeer Force surrounds the academy but the mercenaries counteracts. Saito releases Lousie, and their friends plan on how they will rescue the hostages as it will take too long for the reinforcements to come from the palace. Agnès fights Benubiro the vice-captain. It is discovered Benubiro is one of those who attacked Agnès’ D’Angleterre and burnt it to the ground 20 years ago.

“The Underground Secret Document” “Chitei no Himitsu Bunsho” (地底の秘密文書)

Henrietta is convinced to sign a declaration of war against Albion. News of a victorious battle for the Tristain and Germania allied forces reaches a town that Louise and Saito are currently in. Saito discovers a sailor uniform on sale at a clothes merchants shop, but buys it for Siesta instead of Louise. At the academy, Louise and Saito join Agnès and Julio as they explore a secret archive hidden beneath the school, to which Agnès was denied permission. Agnès wishes to obtain information that concerns the burning of her hometown of D’Angleterre. Eleonore is picked to open the lock to the entrance. As Mr. Colbert and the group heads farther down, they are joined by Siesta, who wears the sailor uniform Saito gave her earlier. Discovering that Saito gave the sailor uniform to Siesta because Louise lacked the chest size to make it look good, Louise blows a part of the cave in the way they came. With little to do but move further, the group finds the archives and sent to look for the records. When Siesta trips and makes a mess of the books, Eléonore returns them to their proper place with magic, which triggers the archives’ security system and begins to bring the bookshelves to a close. Agnès finally finds the information, but a part of the page that lists the person who led the attack is missing. The group narrowly escapes the collapsing of the bridge that led them to the archives. Upon realizing that Louise had blocked their way out, Julio grants Saito permission to have intimate moments with Siesta. Siesta is happy to oblige and Saito also thinks it a good idea; however, Louise watches and prepares to blow something else up. When Saito points out that the cave which she blew up earlier is in the opposite direction, Louise tells him to shut up and blows them up.

Agnes gives Henrietta evidence on a conspirator in Tristain, and devise a secret plan to verify it. Saito and Louise were ordered to be at Scarron’s Inn to receive further instructions. They take their previous positions and costumes back, and are surprised by Julio’s appearance. Saito runs into Henrietta who asks him to be her bodyguard as she poses as a commoner when she faked that she been kidnapped in order to lure out an Albion’s spy. In the rain, Saito and Henrietta evade detection from the soldiers who are searching for the Queen by behaving like sweethearts, while Louise learns of the details of the Queen’s mission from Agnès. In a theater in town, while Scarron and his girls are in the middle of performing a play, Henrietta, Julio, and the Musketeer Force confront Lishman the traitorous finance minister and his army. Lishman goes down in a passageway and Agnès kills him.

Louise’s sisters move in and make Saito do all the work. At night, Siesta makes a pass at Saito when Louise shows up, just when Louise is about to strike him with a newer whip an explosion occurs. A thief has stolen something belonging to Henrietta and Wales from the principal’s office and Osmond pinpoints the woman with a magic seal on her chest. Saito and Julio try to do it secretly, but Louise finds Saito and tries to hurt him again. Then a commotion in Cattleya’s room gets their attention. The thief is found out to be Michelle, Agnès’ lieutenant. And when everything is done and over with just because Saito didn’t tell Louise what he was ordered to do along with other things that were justifiable she beats him with her new whip out of spite.

Louise’s eldest sister Eléonore drags her, Saito, and Siesta back to the Vallière mansion, where Louise is announced to be engaged to a duke. Louise tries to prove to her family that she isn’t the “Zero” anymore but cannot reveal that she is a user of Void. Meanwhile, Louise looks for Saito, goes into his room, and kisses Siesta, whom she has mistaken for Saito. Saito goes to talk to her at night but instead finds Eléonore who beats him. The next day, when Louise’s father forbids her from going into war she gets upset and flees to a children’s boat. Louise’s gentle and kind sister, Cattleya, convinces Saito to stay by Louise’s side. Saito finds her and confesses his true feelings to Louise then makes out with her, fights his way out of the Vallière residence, and heads back to school with Louise. She doesn’t believe him about what happened and beats him again while Siesta tells herself she is the only one for Saito.

When all the boys from the school leave for the war in Albion, Julio Chesaré a Shinto Priest transfers to the school from Romalia, instantly become popular with the girls and shows an interest in Louise. Agnès and her Musketeer Force burst into the school forces the girls out of Mr. Colbert’s class to train for the war. Julio challenges Saito to a fight in which the winner gets to kiss Louise. Saito receives special training from Agnès, but Louise shows up and attacks Saito in a jealous rage yet again. He fights against Julio the next day with wooden swords, but Julio loses to him on purpose which angers Saito. Later, Henrietta tells them of the upcoming war with Albion and their leader, Governor Sheffield who took possession of the Ring of Andavari.

The supposedly dead Wales appears and takes Henrietta to Albion. He uses his vow from their earlier days to convince her into following him. The Musketeer Force chases Wales, but he repulses them with his magic. Saito and Louise go to rescue Henrietta by using the “Zero Fighter” with Kirche and Tabitha following them. Everyone then confronts Wales at Lagdorian Lake as he combines Henrietta’s magic with his. Henrietta refuses to leave Wales’ side. Wales, later revealed to be revived and controlled by Cromwell’s Ring of Andavari, is defeated by Louise with a Dispel spell. Wales is released from the control of the ring and asks Henrietta to make a new vow that she will move on and fall in love with someone else, with him before dying again.

Saito is overjoyed to find himself back in Japan, having returned in the Zero. When he finds that Louise is not with him, Saito realizes that returning without her has no meaning anymore. The fighter crashes and Saito awakens to find that it was all a dream and that he is still in Halkeginia. He hugs Louise, grateful for her presence which embarrasses her. She explains that she’s grateful that he stayed behind for her sake and will stop her demeaning practices including letting him sleep in her bed. The next day, she gives Saito a pair of magical glasses whose gems blink whenever he so much as looks at another girl. She, of course, reacts in typical fashion and punishes him for his indiscretions. Later that day while watching newly crowned Queen Henrietta parade through the streets of the town, Saito’s glasses start blinking and Louise overreacts again leading to Saito’s imprisonment as a suspected assassin. Louise attempts to free him but is turned away by Agnès. Henrietta meets with Saito in his cell and states that Tristain needs his legendary familiar power. She also asks that he become one of the few people whom she can trust. She reveals that Cromwell has been killed in his cell and that someone within Tristain is likely responsible (the perpetrator was earlier revealed to have obtained the Ring of Advari which Tabitha was to return to the Water Spirit). Henrietta then allows Louise into Saito’s cell. Louise rushes into his arms and starts crying with relief that Saito is unhurt, much to his dismay. The queen seems sad at seeing them embrace. On returning home under escort, Agnes tells them that any future messages from the queen will be passed on using the code name “Zero”. She then tells Saito that she will overlook his indiscretion with the queen this time but that in the future she will not be so lenient. Back in their room, Louise insists that Saito explain the misunderstanding that Agnes mentioned and, assuming the worst, returns to her previous treatment of him. The next morning, Agnès rushes in to find Louise holding a riders’ crop and sitting astride a beaten and half-naked Saito. Embarrassed, she retreats momentarily then returns to inform them that Henrietta has been kidnapped.

Although everyone now has a fair chance of being with Jun’ichi, he and Nemu become depressed. Suginami and Kotori bring the two back together to challenge this reality. Nemu lets Jun’ichi read her letters, and Aisia realizes the stubborn power of the cherry blossom tree. In the end, Aisia finally truly understanding the feelings of those around her, uses her magic to once again withers the cherry blossom tree and return everyone’s memories, she then disappears after saying goodbye to Jun’ichi. By the end of the year, Nemu and Jun’ichi get married and a mysterious girl catches Nemu’s bouquet of flowers. After throwing it in the air and using magic to split it into enough bouquets for all the girls, she walks away, however Jun’ichi calls to her and she is revealed to be Aisia who joyfully turns around and runs to him. Finally everyone is happy in Hatsune-Jima.

Like a rewound clock, life becomes a semblance of what it was before Jun’ichi and Nemu became lovers. Sakura confronts Aisia’s world with a warning that everyone’s desired feelings cannot be granted at the same time.

Kotori felt something strange is happening so she went to see Sakura. Sakura, who hadn’t seen Jun’ichi or the girls for a day, suddenly discovers the magical cherry blossom tree revived! The memories of Nemu and Jun’ichi as lovers are being erased because of Aisia’s wish for everyone to share their feelings to Jun’ichi. Once the boys are now aware of this revelation, Nemu runs back to Jun’ichi, and they share a kiss under the cherry blossom tree as sakura flowers blossom all over the island.

Jun’ichi organizes a study session to help finish his neglected homework, but the other girls are seemingly forgetting that he and Nemu are more than siblings, and even they begin to doubt their relationship. They had brought a pair of watches but soon can’t remember why did they.

みんなの時間 Minna no jikan Everyone’s Time

With summer vacation ended everyone goes back to school, Sakura, including Moe and Nemu wear a school uniform as special students today. Sakura and the other girls try to get Nemu and Jun’ichi together during the midsummer school day. At night, Suginami and Kanae help set up a ghostly act to persuade Nemu holding onto Jun’ichi till they reach the top spot of a nice view of shooting stars. Aisia once again desperately attempts to revive the cherry blossom tree. A single new flower is shown growing on a branch.

二人の魔法使い Futari no mahōtsukai Two Magicians

Sakura talks Aisia out of trying to revive the cherry blossom tree, vitally remove the magic is so it would remain wither, and magic doesn’t always solve everyone’s difficulties. At home, Sakura speaks that she okay with her feelings and Jun’ichi’s decision, but Aisia questions her desire to be with Jun’ichi, believing her to be dishonest, since Sakura hasn’t age due to her own unrequited love for Jun’ichi.

戻らない季節 Modoranai kisetsu The Season That Won’t Return

Confused by Sakura’s rejection, Aisia asks Jun’ichi seriously about what happened two years ago. He refuses to tell her (the incident when Nemu had become ill cause of the cherry blossom tree) entirely. Meanwhile, Sakura remarks a story to Jun’ichi how Grandma Yoshino met a woman at a magic academy in London. Aisia wonders around till she finds Kotori. Kotori reveals the telepathic ability that she once had and is fine without it now, so she can be her true self, and the feelings that Jun’ichi and Nemu held for each other for a long time. Aisia still can’t believe the way things are, and she decides to see if everyone’s desire can come true through the magical cherry blossom tree again.

After a welcoming party for Sakura, the Asakuras and their friends repair the neglected Yoshino house. Sakura shoots down Aisia’s hopes of magic lessons, and she attempts to explain the dangers of magic. The cherry blossom tree that once helped make people happy on Hatsune-Jima, by answering a person’s pure feelings, began to create sadness on the island and withered away after Sakura’s wish 2 years ago.

桜色の蜃気楼 Sakurairo no shinkirō A Mirage the Color of Cherry Blossoms

A blond-haired, voluptuous young woman with twin ponytails is spotted on the island. Thinking that Sakura has returned, the Asakuras, and their friends follow Utamaru to see if he leads them to her. Jun’ichi and Nemu found “Sakura” on a flower hill, and cherish their reunion. Aisia is surprise when she learns that Sakura is related to Grandma Yoshino as well.

Aisia tries to compete with Nemu in looking after Jun’ichi (to no avail), and accompanies them on a date. She begins to understand how much Nemu cares for him, but is confused by his seeming lack of understanding or gratitude. Nemu explains it’s only natural for a relative to be thankful to one another even if they don’t show their gratitude properly.

芽生えた想い Mebaeta omoi Blossoming Memories

Aisia develops feelings of rivalry towards Nemu, and of affection towards Jun’ichi. Still perplex with love she visits the cherry blossom tree; Misaki arrives and discuss knowing how the way things are for the best or not. Throughout the day, Aisia took meetings with Tamaki, Nanako, the Mizukoshi sisters, and Miharu and Alice whom all give the same kind of answer. Aisia takes a walk with Jun’ichi following the sunset.
