Rin is enjoying a rather normal life living with his childhood friend Kaede due to family deaths on both sides. One day at school, two new classmates transfer into his class: Lisianthus, heiress to the Realm of the Gods, and Nerine, heiress to the Realm of the Demons. Rin is told that he has been picked to marry either one, though it will be his choice as to whom.

そら -air Sora: Air Air

The summer festival has finally arrived, but unfortunately it rains that day and thus the festival is canceled. Wanting to do anything she can for Misuzu, Haruko brings her to the local shrine.

うみ -sea Umi: Sea Sea

Misuzu’s curse is getting more serious. Soon, she has forgotten who Haruko is and begins to act strangely, playing cards by herself and not wanting to go outdoors. Haruko is depressed, but tries hard to restore the memories Misuzu lost.

ひかり -light Hikari: Light Light

The events of the Dream arc are retold from the point of view of a crow Misuzu found and named Sora.

つき -moon- Tsuki: Moon Moon

Kanna’s mother claims to be “tainted”. They all escape from the mountain but their pursuers manage to kill Kanna’s mother. Before she dies, she passes the ancient prayer to Kanna.

なつ -summer- Natsu: Summer Summer

This story takes place 1000 years before the Dream arc. Kanna is a girl with wings confined to a palace with a friend, Uraha, and body guard, Ryūya. When Kanna is to be sent to another temple, the 3 escape and go on a journey to find Kanna’s mother.

ゆめ -dream- Yume: Dream Dream

There are a number of flashbacks that Yukito has of his mother telling him about the girl with wings, about how she will forget everything and die when she dreams her final dream, and about how the person close to her will also die.

ほし -star- Hoshi: Star Star

After Minagi’s mother’s mental condition has caused her to forget she has a daughter, Minagi leaves home and joins Yukito. Yukito tells Minagi he’s leaving town and wants her to come with him, but instead leads her back home to face her mother.

つばさ -wing- Tsubasa: Wing Wing

Yukito ends up spending the day with Minagi and Michiru while Misuzu is at school. Yukito walks Minagi home after being invited to go stargazing on the school’s rooftop when he first learns of her mother’s mental illness.

はね -plume- Hane: Plume Plume

Kano strangles Yukito in her zombie-like state near the shrine hard enough to leave a mark before falling unconscious. Back at the clinic, Hijiri apologizes for Kano’s behavior and explains when and how Kano’s unusual symptoms started.

こえ -whisper- Koe: Whisper Whisper

Surroundings of Yukito and Misuzu briefly change from the shrine to a cropland as a result of Kano’s experience. After a confrontation with Hijiri, Yukito and others briefly go to the clinic. Yukito and Misuzu leave the clinic for home.

まち -town- Machi: Town Town

Yukito explains to Misuzu the quest of the cursed girl with wings that had been in his family for generations. The next day Yukito’s puppet show only manages to attract a dog named Potato, while scaring others.

かぜ -breeze- Kaze: Breeze Breeze

Yukito Kunisaki arrives to the town in hopes of making money for food with his puppet show. He meets Misuzu Kamio, a strange girl living in the town. Misuzu manages to lure Yukito to her house with food at which after a discussion she offers him residence.

最終回 Saishūkai Finale

Sakura, hearing about Nemu’s amnesia, tries desperately to stop the cherry blossom tree, which responds by blooming even more. Nemu wanders away from home in a daze, and Jun’ichi goes looking for her. Jun’ichi found Sakura and is able to get through to her and wither the cherry blossom tree at last. Nemu appears and Jun’ichi is happy to see her. Sakura now only wishes for Jun’ichi and Nemu’s happiness. The Hatsune-Jima sakura trees are now ordinary sakura trees; nevertheless, all the islanders will live normally from now on.

壊れゆく心 Kowareyuku kokoro Breaking Hearts

Despite Nemu’s earlier recovery, she is still bedridden, and has resumed coughing cherry blossom petals. Sakura, upon discovering this, realizes that the magic cherry blossom tree had not died, and that she had not truly let go of Jun’ichi. Sakura decides to leave Hatsune-jima, to put distance between herself and Jun’ichi. Mako and Suginami visit Nemu, but they find that Nemu does not remember who they are and becomes anxious.

記憶の扉 Kioku no tobira The Door into Memories

Miharu the android, in order to become more like her human counterpart, attempts to search for Miharu’s memories within herself, despite the fact that they weren’t a part of her programming design, and the fact that such searching greatly shortens her lifespan. Jun’ichi spends the last moments with her.

素顔の告白 Sugao no kokuhaku An Honest Confession

Jun’ichi has a dream about Kotori. Kotori realizes that her telepathic power is fading due to have the cherry blossom tree been wither, sensing only painful noise when she tries to probe anyone but Jun’ichi. She focuses her attention on him, as being able to sense his thoughts puts her at ease; however, her friends point out that she is also falling in love. Jun’ichi learns from Kotori that she was actually adopted into the Shirakawa family and gained the ability to read minds from the wish granting cherry blossom tree.

すてきな思い出 Suteki na omoide Wonderful Memories

Nemu manages to regain consciousness, to the relief of Jun’ichi and his friends. Yoriko asks Jun’ichi for her “wages”: a date at night. Together they share Yoriko’s dream, going to school together and building wonderful memories with the boy Misaki fell in love with. In the end, Yoriko finally returns to her mistress as her cat.

さくらの決心 Sakura no kesshin Sakura’s Determination

Having realized she lost to Nemu, Sakura decides to move on, but when word of Nemu’s unusual condition reaches her, she rushes to her side. A chat with Yoriko prompts Sakura to make a fateful decision. Believing the magic has become troublesome Sakura sacrifices her most important thing and withers the magical cherry blossom tree.
