Let`s Go to the Beach The gang go to a remote island beach for a “vacation”, where Mayu starts getting closer to Shungo as Reika tries to upstage her. After witnessing Shungo invite Mayu to watch the stars together, Reika wanders off in a depression. Shungo finds her, but she changes her personality to a more aggressive girl who is also a succubus. A mysterious group of soldiers capture the two as well as Mayu.

Let`s Take Care of the House While Shungo is taken away for extra fight training, Mayu attempts to help Reika with the housework, only to make more messes. When she finds a hidden passage, she and Reika explore it, but get lost and trigger a bunch of traps. They finally get out, but Ryōko punishes them for slacking off.

Let`s Go to Town Classmate Hinako Ayakawa takes Mayu out to get to know her better, while Reika attempts to get rid of Mayu by exploiting her fear of men. After being distracted by a classmate, Shungo tries to find Mayu, only to get caught in Reika’s man traps.

I`m Gonna Push You! Reika, the student council president and heiress to the Houjou foundation, greets Shungo, but becomes furious when Mayu unknowingly calls her a rich loser girl. After checking with Shungo and Mayu’s siblings, she challenges Mayu to a series of contests. Although Mayu easily wins the first two rounds, Reika asks for them to be nullfied for the last round where she alone has to seduce Shungo. However, she fails to do so, and ends up becoming their live-in maid.

Shungo meets Mayu at his school, and learns that she has an uncanny ability to attract men. After rescuing her from their classmates, he learns that she is a succubus who has yet to control her powers; she and her brother will be living at Shungo’s house so she can train to interact with men. As they pass the night together and Sekai witnesses the two of them heading back to Makoto’s place. Just to make sure her eyes weren’t playing tricks on her, Sekai heads over to his place…

“Everyone’s Makoto” “Minna no Makoto” (みんなの誠)

Christmas is coming around the corner, and although Makoto is dating Sekai, it seems as if he wants out of it. So it appears as if he is haphazardly getting himself involved in other relationships, despite his promise to Setsuna. Now things are going terribly wrong, as Kotonoha loses herself, Sekai finds out about Makoto’s infidelity, Setsuna’s move to France and most importantly a sudden change to her body…

As the school festival comes to an end and Makoto and Sekai dance at the bonfire, it finally seems like they’re happy together and things have settled down. However, Kotonoha watches from the shadows, and obstiantly denies what has happened still believing that their still going out. Meanwhile, as Setsuna prepares to move to France she is doing some final preparations to ensure that her best friend - Sekai - will be taken care of…

Makoto hasn’t told Kotonoha yet of his relationship with Sekai. However, one night Kotonoha bumps into Sekai outside of Makoto’s apartment and an altercation goes down. And with that, begins the the school festival…

Makoto has put out the outwardly appearance that he is avoiding Kotonoha, as his relationship with Sekai has developed even more. Setsuna has noticed that their relationship together has changed, and tells Makoto to stay away from Kotonoha and cut off all communication with her, for Sekai’s sake. But the web of lies and relationships starts to get tangled…

At the pool, it’s clear that Makoto and Kotonoha are dating, however it seems as if Makoto has developed feelings for Sekai, hinting her that he wants to be with her instead. Sekai keeps reminding him that he’s Kotonoha’s boyfriend and cannot be with her, and tells him to forget about the “practice”.

Makoto wants to develop his way of expressing himself. He was on the school’s rooftop with Kotonoha when he tried to get close to her, but didn’t expect for her to turn him away. As that things didn’t go so smoothly, Sekai turns to Makoto, and makes a proposition…

When Kotonoha first started dating Makoto, they did not mesh well together. Makoto’s thoughts were all over the place thinking about Kotonoha. He saw Kotonoha in the train in a bad mood and tried to hug her but she refused. Hikaru, who is in the same class as Makoto, happened to see this.

Makoto and Kotonoha go on their first date together, and Makoto’s heart and mind are in a whirlwind of excitement and bewilderment, but it doesn’t go as he had imagined it to go. The next day, Makoto later tells Sekai about the date, and she tells him to slow it down and not smother her. She gives him two movie tickets to take Kotonoha on another date…

Thinking that love charms and the like would just be a waste, Makoto’s luck turns around as his classmate Saionji Sekai, notices what’s on his standby screen and decides to help him out…

Mikami’s Death Note fails to work and Near confesses that he knew about the fake notebook and had actually tampered with the real one. Mikami is restrained and, faced with Near’s undeniable evidence, Light breaks down and laughs like a madman. He confesses that he is Kira and attempts to kill Near by writing his name on a piece of the Death Note hidden in his watch. Matsuda keeps him from doing so by shooting him down. Seeing Light writhe on the floor in agony, Mikami loses faith in his God and kills himself. Wounded, Light escapes in the middle of the commotion. He goes over everything that has happened in a series of flashbacks. As he had promised in the beginning of the series, Ryuk writes down Light’s name in his notebook, thinking that this whole experience has been quite fun. Misa is shown standing on top of a skyscraper, implying she is going to commit suicide, before Light finally dies of cardiac arrest on a set of stairs (possibly symbolic of his place in limbo, between heaven and hell), seeing L’s figure in front of him.

Each having developed a strategy to bring the other down for good, Light and Near finally meet face to face in an abandoned warehouse. Light brings out Mikami to have him write the names of everyone but Light on his Death Note. Meanwhile, Near is confident that the pages of the notebook Mikami is using are fake, confessing that he has tampered with them. All they need do now is check whose name was not written to find out who the real Kira is. Light struggles to mask his glee as he thinks of how he already knew of Near’s actions and that that had been why he had Takada keep the real Death Note while switching Mikami’s with a false one. As the seconds before the Death Note’s power takes effect count down, Light declares his victory to Near.

殺意 Satsui Malice

Mello kidnaps Takada in a daring operation, getting in the way of both Near and Light’s plans to set up a meeting between the SPK and the investigation team. Prepared to face such an event, however, Takada kills Mello by writing his name in a piece of the Death Note she managed to secret away. Once Light hears about this, he uses a piece of the Death Note of his own to make her commit suicide.
