“Deep Sea Party” “Shinkai Pāti” (深海パーティ)
Kaname is nervous when Sousuke asks her to go to a secluded island with him, but is less enthused when the island turns out to be Mithril’s base. An emerging situation forces Sousuke to immediately report to the Tuatha de Danaan with Kaname still in tow. When she arrives aboard the Tuatha de Danaan, she is surprised at the royal treatment she receives and is invited to the submarine’s first anniversary party.
ちぃ 弱る Chii Yowaru Chi Weakens
Hideki begins to worry because Chi seems to be tired constantly. He talks to Shinbo about this, and learns that Persocoms need to be charged. Normally, prolonged exposure to sunlight is fine, but in this case, Chi needs to be plugged in. When Hideki returns, he finds that Chi is very close to losing all of her battery power, but he cannot recharge her because he hasn’t paid his electricity bill. In a desperate attempt, he tries to take Chi to Yorokonde but gets horribly lost along the way.
“The Wind Blows at Home, Part 3” “Kokyō ni Mau Kaze Kōhen” (故郷に舞う風·後編)
Sousuke fights and eventually kills Zaied while Gauron finishes off the remaining Mithril team. After Zaied falls, he then confronts Gauron and when their Lambda Drivers collide, Sousuke emerges as the sole victor.
ちぃ 見つける Chii Mitsukeru Chi Finds
Hideki is facing his first practice exam and goes to the book store to buy an English dictionary since he forgot his own at his parents’ place. At the store, Chi finds a picture book called “A City with No People,” which sparks Chi’s curiosity. Hideki buys it for her rather than his dictionary, and Shinbo lends his to Hideki. While Shinbo is teaching Hideki how to use the dictionary, Chi finishes the picture book and something unusual happens.
“The Wind Blows at Home, Part 2” “Kokyō ni Mau Kaze Chūhen” (故郷に舞う風·中編)
Sousuke and the remaining team members take refuge in a cave hideout. However, he is unaware that an old friend from his child soldier days, Zaied, is fighting alongside Gauron. Zaied’s insight into Sousuke’s tactical planning gives him and Gauron the strategic advantage.
ちぃ おつかい Chii Otsukai Chi Goes on Errands
Hideki comes to realizes that Chi doesn’t have “pantsu” (“Underpants” in the dub). Since he’s too embarrassed to get them himself, he lets Chi go to a lingerie store to buy them with the help of Sumomo’s navigation system. After several mishaps and mistakes, Hideki finally plucks up the courage to run into the store and buy them himself and run back out.
“The Wind Blows at Home, Part 1” “Kokyō ni Mau Kaze Zenpen” (故郷に舞う風·前編)
Sousuke is sent to Helmajistan after Gauron is found to be alive. He is temporarily assigned to an AS squad from Mithril’s Indian Ocean corps in a mission to kill Gauron, but because of his young age, his presence is met with derision. They ignore Sousuke’s advice and their first encounter with Gauron ends in disaster. They also commandeer a nuclear-armed ballistic missile Gauron was planning to sell on the black market.
ちぃ おぼえる Chii Oboeru Chi Learns
Chi begins learning words from Hideki, who is running very low on money. He decides to get a job to pay for his living expenses. Unfortunately, all the jobs are taken, except for a position he stumbles upon by accident at Japanese pub called Yorokonde (“My Pleasure”), where he meets a high school girl named Yumi.
“Is Narashino Burning?” “Narashino wa Moete iru ka?” (習志野は燃えているか?)
Sousuke, Kaname, and their friends visit the Narashino military festival during their summer break. At the festival’s annual AS competition, Sousuke helps out the Narashino team (an element of the 1st Airborne Brigade), who lose to the Nerima team every year. His classmate, Shinji Kazama, a military otaku, also reconciles with his father, who is the Narashino team’s commanding officer.
ちぃ 出かける Chii Dekakeru Chi Goes Out
Hideki wants to find out more about Chi, so he takes her to Shinbo’s friend Minoru Kokubunji, who is a rich but very young expert on Persocoms. There, they find out she has some sort of learning program even though she has no OS (Operating System). Minoru concludes that Hideki is able to teach her and that she will be able to grasp information that she is given. While leaving the house, Minoru tells Hideki not to fall in love with her if he do not want to cry later. Later, at his room Hideki gives name to her “chi”.
“A Cat and a Kitten’s Rock & Roll” “Neko to Koneko no R & R (Rokkunrōru)” (猫と子猫のR&R(ロックンロール))
During a heated argument with Melissa, Tessa challenges her to an AS duel. However, Tessa realizes that she may be in over her head and asks Sousuke to be her AS coach.
ちぃ 目覚める Chii Mezameru Chi Awakens
Hideki Motosuwa is an 18-year-old student living with the short end of the stick. He’s short of money, has to go to prep school, and is still a virgin. Hideki dreams of getting into college and having a cute Persocom to surf the internet for pornography. While he’s out one night, he finds a Persocom in the garbage, activates her, and names her Chi, after her first word, which appears to be the only thing she can say. After trying to hide her from Hiromu Shinbo, his neighbor (and his mini-Persocom Sumomo), and trying and failing to hide her from his landlady, Ms. Hibiya, he decides to keep her, much to her joy.
“Naru” “Naru” (なる)
Things are a little strange after Kanako, Keitaro, and Naru were in the annex. Both seem to have dreams with Moe as guide showing there true feelings and past promises. Naru still can’t show her feelings for Keitaro, causing Shinobu, Matoko, and Kanako in particular much frustration. Kanako tries to find both of there feelings using her usual method of disguise. To her disappointment, Naru seems too confused. Both of them are in love of course, however Naru’s too afraid to face Shinobu and Motoko. Kanako tries to lure Keitaro again as Naru. Knowing its really her Keitaro goes after her to explain how he loved her as a kid sister. Keitaro’s feelings goes against the abandoned annex’s spell. He and his sister are brought to its top floor. Naru in an effort to find Keitaro’s ring to confess and prove her love tries to go to the top floor clock. But she must go through her own friends, the residents of Hinata. As Naru makes her way up, Keitaro apologizes for forgetting his annex promise to Kanako, but explains how he’ll love her as a sister. Naru retrieves the ring and finally confesses her love to Keitaro Urishima. Being one of his promise girls Moe helped Naru and Keitaro.
“One Night Stand” “Wan Naito Sutando” (ワン·ナイト·スタンド)
The Behemoth chases Sousuke, Kurz, Kaname, and Tessa through the city streets while Mithril dispatches the Arbalest to fight the Behemoth. With the help of Tessa and Kaname’s Whispered abilities, Sousuke locates the Behemoth’s weak spot and destroys it.
“Behemoth Awakening” “Behemosu Kakusei” (ベヘモス覚醒)
The hostage exchange goes awry, and instead Tessa and Kaname are taken to the terrorists’ hide-out inside a tanker. Sousuke regroups with Kurz and Melissa to rescue their friends. During the rescue attempt, Takuma activates the massive Behemoth AS.
“Run, Running, Ran” “Ran Ranningu Ran” (ラン·ランニング·ラン)
Kaname visits Sousuke’s apartment, becoming involved with Mithril’s situation. They realize that the apartment is no longer safe, taking Takuma to the Jindai High campus for safekeeping. However, the terrorists locate him and capture Tessa and Kaname. Sousuke is forced to give up Takuma for the two girls.
“Dangerous Safe House” “Abunai Sēfu Hausu” (あぶないセーフハウス)
Tessa is sent to see Takuma Kugayama, a young boy captured at Narita whom Mithril suspects of being capable of operating the Lambda Driver. However, the A21 terrorist group attacks the compound to free their comrade, but Tessa flees with him to Sousuke’s safe house.
“Keitaro” “Keitarō” (景太郎)
After returning from overseas with Seta,Keitaro brings gifts for all the Hinata residents. After seeing Kanako,Keitaro thinks she’s a new resident, but then recognizes her as the little girl who followed him. Kanako plans to get her and Keitaro alone, sending the dorm residents on “errands” that turn out to be fake. Tension rises a lot between Kanako and Naru. Keitaro asks Naru to meet him at the abandoned annex. Since the legend of the annex says if a couple stays there over night, they’ll live happily ever after. Naru, once again trying to help Kanako and Keitaro sends Kanako to the annex, but regrets it after Haruka explained the legend, and how powerful its magic was. Of course Keitaro still doesn’t remember he promised Kanako they’d go to the annex as children! In the dark he grabbed Kanako thinking she was Naru,and Kanako thinking he really loved her. When Keitaro realizes its Kanako, Naru arrives. It was too late!The magic forms a field around Kanako and Keitaro. Kanako still thinking Keitaro loves her says the ring he dropped was proof. Keitaro then says his gift for Naru. Naru tries to put the ring on,but it flies out of her hands.
“Part Time Steady” “Pātotaimu Sutedi” (パートタイム·ステディ)
When Mizuki Inaba’s boyfriend, Shirai, asks Kaname out, a jealous Mizuki spreads vicious lies about her around the school. However, Mizuki’s actions causes her boyfriend to dump her for being overbearing. Mizuki is then forced to ask Sousuke to be her boyfriend when she meets with her friends.
