夏の日にようこそ Natsu no Hi ni Yōkoso! Welcome to Summer Days!

Kaoru is crushed when he is turned down by a girl named Nanako Midorikawa, after inviting her to go a fireworks festival with him. She claims that she has an audition the same night, and Kaoru accepts this excuse but does not believe it. Meanwhile, Tatsuhiro is tormented by his newfound feelings for Misaki, and is so disturbed he can’t concentrate on writing a scenario. Tatsuhiro and Kaoru decide to showcase their game in the Summer Comiket, otherwise known as NatsuComi. Tatsuhiro later goes with Misaki to the fireworks festival.

中華街にようこそ! Chūkagai ni Yōkoso! Welcome to Chinatown!

Tatsuhiro is desperately attempting to clean his dirty apartment before his mother comes, and Misaki helps him. The two and Tatsuhiro’s mother later have lunch in a Chinese restaurant. When Tatsuhiro leaves to go to the bathroom, his mother tells Misaki that she knows this was all a setup because she could always tell whenever he was lying. Tatsuhiro overhears this and starts feeling even guiltier. However, in his presence, his mother goes along with the story and does not give Tatsuhiro a chance to clear himself. Tatsuhiro and Misaki later get carried away with their fake relationship.

モラトリアムにようこそ! Moratoriamu ni Yōkoso! Welcome to the Moratorium!

Traumatized by his latest panic attack, Tatsuhiro refuses to leave his apartment. Under the guise of a summer flu, he gets Kaoru to buy him his daily necessities. Later, he is surprised by a phone call from his mother who tells him that she would like to visit him and discuss his future. He prevaricates, fearing the assumptions of his mother, claiming that he has a job and a girlfriend whom he plans to marry. This leads Tatsuhiro in even deeper trouble, and he gets Kaoru to help him create a fake video game developing company. Misaki later volunteers to be his girlfriend.

クラスルームにようこそ! Kurasurūmu ni Yōkoso! Welcome to the Classroom!

Tatsuhiro discovers from Misaki that Kaoru has a cute girlfriend in his media school. Despite his hikikomori condition, Tatsuhiro ventures out to Kaoru’s school to ascertain the truth. However, while the trip causes him another panic attack, he manages to find out the truth about Kaoru’s supposed relationship.

カウンセリングにようこそ! Kaunseringu ni Yōkoso! Welcome to Counselling!

Hitomi and Tatsuhiro’s past is explored briefly. Tatsuhiro finally admits to Misaki that he is a hikikomori, and signs the contract. They have their first counseling session, and Tatsuhiro embarrasses Misaki with the concept of dream interpretation.

新世界にようこそ! Shin Sekai ni Yōkoso! Welcome to the New World!

Tatsuhiro is now a full-fledged otaku, and Kaoru brings him to Akihabara in hopes that it will inspire him to work. They end up going to maid cafes and spending all their money on otaku merchandise. By chance, Tatsuhiro bumps into his high school senior Hitomi Kashiwa, and ends up having a drink with her.

美少女にようこそ! Bishōjo ni Yōkoso! Welcome to the Beautiful Girls!

Kaoru introduces Tatsuhiro to eroge, and Tatsuhiro spends all his time playing all of Kaoru’s erotic games and collecting pornographic pictures for “reference material”. He ends up not doing any work on the game, much to Kaoru’s chagrin.

クリエイターにようこそ! Kurieitā ni Yōkoso! Welcome to the Creator!

Misaki tries to convince Tatsuhiro to sign a contract with her, whereby he will be obligated to listen to her as she tries to ease him out of his hikikomori lifestyle. Later, Tatsuhiro discovers that his otaku neighbor is actually his high school friend Kaoru Yamazaki who is studying a media course in creating games. Using Kaoru’s book, he fibs to Misaki that he is actually a games creator, not a hikikomori, and that he could show her a game that he had made. Overhearing this conversation, Kaoru decides to help Tatsuhiro make an eroge, and assigns him the role of the scenario writer.

Tatsuhiro Satō’s hikikomori origins are explained. His anxieties lead him to believe that he is a victim of a conspiracy known as the N.H.K., which creates hikikomori via manipulating the media. He is constantly annoyed by hearing the music of an unknown otaku living next door. He meets a mysterious girl called Misaki Nakahara who claims to be able to cure his hikikomori ways.

By combining their powers, Shirō and Saber are able to defeat Gilgamesh and Kirei together. The final order Shirō commands to Saber is to destroy the Holy Grail. As Saber disappears, she admits her love for Shirō. An epilogue then takes place, with everyone returning to their normal lives, as if awakening from a long dream, and with Shirō satisfied with the life he has led forever remembering Saber and to enjoy a good life with Rin, Ilya, Sakura and Taiga. Meanwhile, Saber has returned to her own time, where she tells Bedivere that she had a wonderful dream, and asks if one can relive dreams, to which Bedivere replies “of course”. She then asks Bedivere to return Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake and, moments after Bedivere has accomplished her order, Saber peacefully dies under a tree.

聖杯 Seihai Holy Grail

After Ilya is taken by Kirei, Shirō and Saber head to the Ryudōji shrine in order to defeat him. Saber fights with Gilgamesh while Shirō goes after Kirei.

願いの果て Negai no Hate At The End of Wishes

After going to Kirei’s church, Shirō is captured and nearly killed by Kirei, but Saber comes in time and heals his wounds. Kirei orders Lancer and Gilgamesh to kill Shirō and Saber, but Lancer battles Gilgamesh in order to allow the two to escape. He is subsequently overwhelmed by Gilgamesh and slain.

天地乖離す開闢の星 Tenchi Kairisu Kaibyaku no Hoshi The Star of Creation that Split Heaven and Earth

While walking back home together, Shirō and Saber are attacked by the Servant Gilgamesh, who had previously saved them from Kuzuki and Caster. After Shirō traces a sheath for Excalibur, they manage to repel him. Later that night, Shirō makes his feelings clear to Saber and tells her that he wants her to stay with him after the war is over.

遠い夢跡 Tōi Yume Ato Distant Traces of a Dream

Upon realizing his feelings for Saber, Shirō asks her to go out on a date with him around town. Afterwards, they get in a fight and Shirō ends up running off back to his house.

黄金の王 Ōgon no Ō The Golden King

With victory all but won for Caster, an eighth Servant in golden armor appears and kills Caster and Kuzuki. After Shirō and the others escape, Saber reveals who this new Servant is and how she knows him.

決戦 Kessen A Decisive Battle

Shirō, Rin and Saber attempt to rescue Sakura and to stop the Holy Grail from being summoned. While Saber fights Assassin, Shirō attempts to fend off Kuzuki, and Rin tries to save Sakura.

魔女の烙印 Majo no Rakuin Branded as a Witch

With mass comas now occurring within the city, Shirō and the others decide to go after the Master and Servants at the Ryudōji shrine. After confirming that Sōichirō Kuzuki, one of Shirō’s teachers, is Caster’s Master, Sakura is taken captive by Caster to serve as a sacrifice in order to summon the Holy Grail.

約束された勝利の剣 Yakusoku Sareta Shōri no Ken The Sword of Promised Victory

After Shirō manages to trace a sword powerful enough to defeat Berserker - Caliburn, he and Saber work together to defeat him. Afterwards, Shirō takes Ilya home with him.

十二の試練 Jūni no Shiren The Twelve Ordeal

In order to replenish Saber’s mana, Shirō gives a part of his magical circuit to Saber, which means that he will never be able to use some sorcery or be on par with other magicians. After the transfer, Ilya and Berserker come back for a final match.

理想の果て Risō no Hate Beyond The Ideal

Ilyasviel sets Berserker on them. Archer battles Berserker while Rin, Shirō and Saber get away. Archer manages to defeat Berserker once when he is battered by him to the hall. Ilya is surprised when Archer calls her by her nickname, saying she is still as merciless. Archer knows that he will lose in the end but decides to deal as much damage as possible first, and uses his Noble Phantasm - Unlimited Blade Works, a reality marble. Archer manages to take five of Berserker’s lives in total before he is ultimately defeated. Rin’s last Command Spell disappears and Saber collapses in the forest.
