ゼロ Zero Zero

Lelouch uses Geass on Cornelia and discovers she does not know who killed his mother. C.C. senses that Nunnally has been taken to Kamine Island and Lelouch abandons the Black Knights to rescue her. There, C.C. stays behind to stall Jeremiah while Lelouch is confronted by Suzaku. While Kallen watches on, Suzaku shoots Lelouch’s mask revealing his identity to the two of them. Lelouch pleads with Suzaku to help him save Nunnally but is rebuffed; off-screen, the two fire their guns at each other.

崩落のステージ Hōraku no Sutēji The Collapsing Stage

The Black Knights are able to push the Britannian Army back and use Ashford Academy as their headquarters. Lelouch and C.C. battle against Suzaku and are able to lure him into a trap which drains his Lancelot’s power. Villeta regains her memories and shoots Ohgi. Lelouch confronts Cornelia and has the Geass influenced Andreas Darlton incapacitate Cornelia’s Knightmare. Meanwhile, Nunnally is visited by V.V. who intends to take her away.

“Purity” “Muku” (無垢)

Makoto wants to develop his way of expressing himself. He was on the school’s rooftop with Kotonoha when he tried to get close to her, but didn’t expect for her to turn him away. As that things didn’t go so smoothly, Sekai turns to Makoto, and makes a proposition…

“The Witch’s Maw (Part 3)” “Majo no agito (III)” (魔女の顎門(III))

Clare manages to bring Jean back from an awakened state, gaining her loyalty, and returns to help Galatea. Together, the battle shifts and Dauf is defeated, though Riful saves his life. Clare finally lands a hit on Riful and so she explains about the Northern Kingdom and the name of its ruler, Isley. Galatea returns to her mission objective to return Clare to the organization, but decides to abandon it.

“The Paladin’s Sword” “Seishokusha no Ken” (聖職者の剣)

When all the boys from the school leave for the war in Albion, Julio Chesaré a Shinto Priest transfers to the school from Romalia, instantly become popular with the girls and shows an interest in Louise. Agnès and her Musketeer Force burst into the school forces the girls out of Mr. Colbert’s class to train for the war. Julio challenges Saito to a fight in which the winner gets to kiss Louise. Saito receives special training from Agnès, but Louise shows up and attacks Saito in a jealous rage yet again. He fights against Julio the next day with wooden swords, but Julio loses to him on purpose which angers Saito. Later, Henrietta tells them of the upcoming war with Albion and their leader, Governor Sheffield who took possession of the Ring of Andavari.

“Crossing Thoughts” “Surechigau Omoi” (擦れ違う想い)

When Kotonoha first started dating Makoto, they did not mesh well together. Makoto’s thoughts were all over the place thinking about Kotonoha. He saw Kotonoha in the train in a bad mood and tried to hug her but she refused. Hikaru, who is in the same class as Makoto, happened to see this.

“The Witch’s Maw (Part 2)” “Majo no agito (II)” (魔女の顎門(II))

Clare arrives at a cave inhabited by two Awakened Beings: the “Abyssal One” known as Riful of the West, and her lover and protector Dauf. In her confrontation with Dauf, Clare is rescued by Galatea. They come to learn of a secret arms race between the three Abyssal Ones of the North, West, and South and Riful’s intentions to raise as many Awakened troops to join her side as she can before their inevitable confrontation. As Galatea buys time by distracting Dauf, Clare races to save Jean, the only Claymore capable of penetrating Dauf’s heavy armour.

“The Oath of Wind and Water” “Kaze to Mizu no Chikai” (風と水の誓い)

The supposedly dead Wales appears and takes Henrietta to Albion. He uses his vow from their earlier days to convince her into following him. The Musketeer Force chases Wales, but he repulses them with his magic. Saito and Louise go to rescue Henrietta by using the “Zero Fighter” with Kirche and Tabitha following them. Everyone then confronts Wales at Lagdorian Lake as he combines Henrietta’s magic with his. Henrietta refuses to leave Wales’ side. Wales, later revealed to be revived and controlled by Cromwell’s Ring of Andavari, is defeated by Louise with a Dispel spell. Wales is released from the control of the ring and asks Henrietta to make a new vow that she will move on and fall in love with someone else, with him before dying again.

“The Distance Between the Two of Them” “Futari no Kyori” (二人の距離)

Makoto and Kotonoha go on their first date together, and Makoto’s heart and mind are in a whirlwind of excitement and bewilderment, but it doesn’t go as he had imagined it to go. The next day, Makoto later tells Sekai about the date, and she tells him to slow it down and not smother her. She gives him two movie tickets to take Kotonoha on another date…

“The Witch’s Maw (Part 1)” “Majo no agito (I)” (魔女の顎門(I))

Unable to contact Clare for three months after Ophelia’s awakening and death, the organization decides to send Galatea to track her down. In the meantime, Clare searches for Raki, while disguised and with her energy suppressed, in a local town. She nearly runs into a party of Claymores on a hunt for an Awakened Being. The next day, a bloody and shredded Claymore limps into the town and tells Clare that the party was captured. She sets off to rescue them as, unbeknownst to her at this point, they are being tortured into awakening.

“Her Majesty, the Queen’s Zero” “Joō-heika no Zero” (女王陛下のゼロ)

Saito is overjoyed to find himself back in Japan, having returned in the Zero. When he finds that Louise is not with him, Saito realizes that returning without her has no meaning anymore. The fighter crashes and Saito awakens to find that it was all a dream and that he is still in Halkeginia. He hugs Louise, grateful for her presence which embarrasses her. She explains that she’s grateful that he stayed behind for her sake and will stop her demeaning practices including letting him sleep in her bed. The next day, she gives Saito a pair of magical glasses whose gems blink whenever he so much as looks at another girl. She, of course, reacts in typical fashion and punishes him for his indiscretions. Later that day while watching newly crowned Queen Henrietta parade through the streets of the town, Saito’s glasses start blinking and Louise overreacts again leading to Saito’s imprisonment as a suspected assassin. Louise attempts to free him but is turned away by Agnès. Henrietta meets with Saito in his cell and states that Tristain needs his legendary familiar power. She also asks that he become one of the few people whom she can trust. She reveals that Cromwell has been killed in his cell and that someone within Tristain is likely responsible (the perpetrator was earlier revealed to have obtained the Ring of Advari which Tabitha was to return to the Water Spirit). Henrietta then allows Louise into Saito’s cell. Louise rushes into his arms and starts crying with relief that Saito is unhurt, much to his dismay. The queen seems sad at seeing them embrace. On returning home under escort, Agnes tells them that any future messages from the queen will be passed on using the code name “Zero”. She then tells Saito that she will overlook his indiscretion with the queen this time but that in the future she will not be so lenient. Back in their room, Louise insists that Saito explain the misunderstanding that Agnes mentioned and, assuming the worst, returns to her previous treatment of him. The next morning, Agnès rushes in to find Louise holding a riders’ crop and sitting astride a beaten and half-naked Saito. Embarrassed, she retreats momentarily then returns to inform them that Henrietta has been kidnapped.

“Confession” “Kokuhaku” (告白)

During the freshmen orientation, Ito Makoto met Katsura Kotonoha and immediately developed a crush on her. They would ride on the same train together every morning, and all Makoto could do was make himself look busy by looking at the standby screen on his cell phone. Thinking that love charms and the like would just be a waste, Makoto’s luck turns around as his classmate Saionji Sekai, notices what’s on his standby screen and decides to help him out…

“Qualified to Fight” “Tatakau shikaku” (闘う資格)

Shortly after Clare leaves, Irene is confronted by Rafaela. Elsewhere, aided by addition of Irene’s right arm and the newly acquired “Flash Sword” technique, Clare fights Ophelia. During the battle, Ophelia finally realizes that she has awakened, and becomes paralyzed with shock. Partially thanks to encouragement from remnants of Ophelia’s humanity, Clare manages to defeat her.

“The Endless Gravestones (Part 2)” “Hate naki bohyō (II)” (果て無き墓標(II))

Clare fights Ophelia and loses her right arm as a result. Irene, who was presumed dead, saves Clare and severely injures Ophelia. Frustrated about the untimely demise of her brother at the hands of Priscilla and her defeat by Irene, Ophelia becomes enraged and awakens. Clare recuperates and Irene decides to teach Clare her “Flash Sword” technique.

“The Endless Gravestones (Part 1)” “Hate naki bohyō (I)” (果て無き墓標(I))

Clare is sent to engage another Awakened Being with another team. However, much to Clare’s surprise, the team only consists of herself and Ophelia. To make matters worse, Ophelia’s lust for blood and the threat of the Awakened Being places both Raki’s and Clare’s lives in jeopardy.

“Those Who Rend Asunder (Part 3)” “Kiri saku mono tachi (III)” (斬り裂く者たち(III))

As the four Claymores recover from their injuries, Miria suggests that the Organization has purposely sent them on a suicide mission, since she discovers that they are all troublemakers who may have partially awakened. Deneve proves this theory by intentionally exceeding her limits in order to heal her wounds. To the Claymores’ surprise, she does not awaken from the process. Miria warns the group to avoid top five Claymores: Alicia, Beth Galatea, Ophelia, and Rafaela. She advises the group to avoid fighting them due to their power.

“Those Who Rend Asunder (Part 2)” “Kiri saku mono tachi (II)” (斬り裂く者たち(II))

The battle against the male Awakened Being seems hopeless, despite Helen, Deneve, and Miria demonstrating use of their extraordinary skills. However, Clare refuses to give up, and uses her Yoki-reading skill to dodge the enemy’s attacks. Together with Miria, Clare attacks the Awakened Being and kills him. Throughout the entirety of the battle, Galatea, an “eye” for the Organization, reads the Yoki of the four Claymores from a great distance and informs her overseer Ermita of the progression of the battle.

“Those Who Rend Asunder (Part 1)” “Kiri saku mono tachi (I)” (斬り裂く者たち(I))

After Teresa’s death, Clare brings her head to Rubel and asks to become a Claymore. Back in the present, Clare is assigned to a party that will be hunting an Awakened Being. After leaving Raki behind at an inn, Clare departs on the mission with her comrades, Miria, Helen, and Deneve. Once they engage the Awakened Being, they are surprised to find that he is male and far stronger than they had expected.

“Awakening” “Kakusei” (覚醒)

Teresa easily defeats the other Claymores, but spares their lives. Priscilla, incensed by her defeat, pursues Teresa and releases too much of her Yoki during the ensuing battle. She awakens, killing Teresa and her former comrades. Clare is left cradling Teresa’s severed head.

“Marked for Death” “Shisha no rakuin” (死者の烙印)

Claymores number two through five, Priscilla, Irene, Noel, and Sophia gather together before departing to kill Teresa. Teresa and Clare find lodgings in a village, where shortly after her pursuers find them. Priscilla engages Teresa in single combat, but she is outmatched despite briefly having the upper hand. The other three Claymore pursuers decide that they must assist, and the members of the team begin to release their Yoki in preparation for the combined attack against Teresa.
